About iEat
Florida home cooks, near you.
iEat is a marketplace for Florida home cooks and bakers — the people running cottage-food operations out of their own kitchens. We help buyers find them on a map, see what they're making, and reserve items for pickup.
We started iEat because the food scene in Florida is full of extraordinary home cooks — neighbors selling key lime pies, fresh-baked sourdough, organic jams, local honey — and there wasn't an easy way for buyers to find them. The platforms that exist treat home cooks the same as restaurants, which makes onboarding painful and surfacing impossible. iEat is built specifically for cottage-food sellers and the people who love their work.
How it works
- For buyers:open the map, see cooks near you, tap a pin to see their listings, reserve for pickup. Pay the cook in cash when you collect — iEat doesn't process payments yet.
- For sellers:sign up, attest to cottage food compliance, publish your items, set your pickup hours. Free for the first 30 days, then $5/month. We don't take a cut of your sales.
Florida cottage food law
iEat is built around Florida's cottage food law. Every listing carries the required “Made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Florida's food safety regulations” disclaimer. We enforce the $250K annual sales cap per seller, the “Organic Ingredients” attestation requirement, and the direct-to-consumer rule (pickup only, no shipping out of state, no wholesale).
